Cove Quilter's DonationsThe Quilters group donated 17 beautiful quilts to the Livecare Center in Crossville just in time for Christmas. Thank you Stitchers for your beautiful work and giving hearts.
Snowman ContestThe Snowman Contest was "snow" much fun.
Sock HopThe November Sock Hop at the Welcome Center was a night of fun, dancing and friendship. (Photos from Nancy Snope).
Tree Removal ProjectNovember 2nd, Moses and a group of enthusiastic volunteers took on the job of removing overgrown Arborvitae trees at the Welcome Center. A tremendous job well done. (Photos by Pam Hammond).
2015 Golf ScrambleThe 3rd Annual Best Ball Golf Scramble was held Octuber 10th at Cumberland Cove Golf Course with 22 players on hand. Thanks to all of them and to Sam Hicks, manager of CCGC. Everyone had fun including the spectators who braved the cool fall morning.
2015 Fall FestivalThe 6th Annual Fall Festival was held September 26th with many crafts and goodies (Photos by Joanna Walker).

4th of July PicnicDue to rain and road closures, the July 4th Picnic was rescheduled for July 25th. The BBQ and Potluck was held at the Welcome Center with good food and lots of Red, White, and Blue. (Photos by Beth Nelson).
July Road WashOutsOn July 3rd, after torrental rain storms the Cove experienced serious road damages. There were 7 roads where sections of the roadway were completely washed out. A number of other areas had deep holes washed away. See below for link to some photos.
2015 Mystery DinnerIn March, the Activities Committee put on a wonderful dinner party with a mystery theme.
2015 Appreciation Pancake BreakfastOn March 14th, the Activities Committee held an Appreciation Pancake Breakfast as a thank you to the many volunteers that helped our community after the ice storm. (Photos by Beth Nelson.)

Quilt of Valor
On December 22nd, a Quilt of Valor was donated to Herman(Bill)Press by Lorrie Brown of the National Quilts of Valor Program and the Plateau Sassy Stichers, commemorating his WW II Air Force service. Winter Wonderland Party

We had a wonderful event on November 22 at the Welcome Center. One hundred and fifty
people came and went through the front door, buying baked goods and Christmas treasures.
It was a truly awesome event, thanks to all the volunteers who helped. Joanna Walker
coordinated vendors and tables and already has a waiting list for the 2015 event. .
On Saturday evening, November 15 2014, the Board of Directors hosted the annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner
at the Welcome Center. This is a dinner recognizing the many people who contribute an
untold number of volunteer hours and services to the Cumberland Cove POA throughout the year.
The Cove Red Hat Ladies met November 12th for lunch at the Early Birds Bakery in Cookeville. The food was great. The
company was great. It was a fun day.

Bridge Replacement Over Bridge Creek
Fourteen people assembled at Overlook Park early on October 14th to repair the bridge over Bridge Creek. These included Scott Anderson, Bonnie Basler, Brad Beatty, Rick Birchler, Roger Bumgarner, Jerry Fisher, Tom Haggard, Chuck Knarr, Ed McSweeny, Carlo Sanchez, Al Singleton, John Snope, Pat Sueberkrop, and Ric Young. Cove Fall Festival
Saturday Sept 27th the Late Bloomers Gardening Group held the Fall Festival featuring many beautiful and interesting homemade crafts and food. A special event was the Chili Cook-off. A wonderful afternoon. Follow the link below to see pictures of the event.

Quilters Donate Quilts

2014 Memorial Day Dinner
Icy Cove Trail Hike
On Sunday April 6th, the Trails Committee led a three hour hike down to Icy Cove. It was a wonderful trip with beautiful scenery including many spring wildflowers.
2014 Mystery Dinner
On Saturday, March 29th, the Activities Committee held a Mystery Dinner at the Welcome Center. It was a sell out event and very entertaining.
